A video captured the horrifying moment a player collapsed after being struck by lightning during a match in Indonesia.
The man played in a friendly match between 2 FLO FC Bandung and FBI Subang at the Siliwangi Stadium in Bandung, West Java.
In the horrifying footage, other players can be seen rushing to carry the victim off the pitch after she fell to the ground.
According to local media PRFM News, the man was still breathing when he was taken to hospital for medical treatment.
But the victim was soon pronounced dead.
Allegedly, his jersey was torn by a lightning strike.
Witnesses reported that the weather was cloudy and that it had started to rain.
A video of the incident has since gone viral online, with people flooding the comments to express their condolences.
One person wrote: “RIP player.”
Another added: “This is the stuff of my nightmares. I lived through the ’89 earthquake in San Francisco that ended Game 3 of the Baseball World Series.”

A third person said: “That’s horrible and condolences.
“In my days as a referee, I always kept an eye on the time, I believe it’s in the FIFA manual. That’s exactly why.
“I don’t know if it was possible here or if there was a referee. This video will go to FIFA and referee associations everywhere.”
This comes after severe lightning struck a soccer field during a cup match, killing one player and injuring six others in Brazil.
The victim was named as Caio Henrique de Lima Goncalves, 21, by police in Santo Antonio da Platina.
Local media reported that he was rushed to hospital after the strike on December 10, but died soon after.
Chilling video footage taken moments after the strike shows a pitch littered with injured players and officials desperately rushing to get them to safety and medical attention.
