On Thursday, September 19, the gymnast, 27, shared tattoo artist Sydney Smith’s Instagram post about her latest tattoo on her Instagram Stories.

According to the picture, her tattoo reads “made in heaven” in large letters and is located on the back of her neck.

Biles teased her new ink the night before as she shared a behind-the-scenes video of her pre-tattoo process on her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, September 18, writing, “post-show tattoos.”

In the video, she was sitting on a chair while spinning the camera around the tattoo parlor. In the frame were several portable square lights, as well as a red lounge chair and a printer.

The 11-time Olympic medalist got a second tattoo during her visit that appears to refer to her husband Jonathan Owens, whom she married in April 2023, TMZ reports. The other tattoo is a small “J” on her left arm, as seen in a video Smith posted later Thursday.

Smith told TMZ that she first connected with Biles through social media and that the two pieces took about 90 minutes to create.

“It was a great experience, but I treat all my clients the same. It’s always a good time to do what I love every day,” said the tattoo artist.

Biles has seven other tattoos, one of which is a matching ink with Owens that reads “444” in reference to the motto: “4better, 4worse, 4always,” according to Popsugar. Other tattoos include “XO” on her inner lip, “Golden” on her inner left wrist, “1997” above her elbow, “and still I rise” on her collarbone, and a drawing of the Olympic rings on the side of her forearm.

Biles kicked off her Gold Over America Tour – aka GOAT – on September 16 in Oceanside, California. She spoke to PEOPLE in an exclusive interview ahead of the tour, describing it as a “pop concert-style spectacle.” Biles said she was giving her body a “rest” after intense rounds at the Paris Olympics.

“Truthfully, I only went to the gym a few times to work out because of my schedule,” she said. “I’ve barely been home, but my body needed this rest, so I’m not mad about it.”
