Simone Biles was a proud wife watching her husband Jonathan Owens score his first touchdown since joining the Chicago Bears.
On Sunday, Sept. 8, the safety, 29, took the ball during a blocked punt and ran toward the end zone, scoring a touchdown during his team’s game against the Tennessee Titans.
Biles, 27, shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) reacting to Owens’ big play in the Bears’ home opener. “I ALMOST HAD A HEART ATTACK,” she wrote of the touchdown, responding to a post from NBC’s Sunday Night Football.
“Jonathan Owens takes possession and scores on a blocked shot!” sports program wrote, exclaiming Biles. “How are you feeling @Simone_Biles? 😏.”

Owens’ touchdown, which was the team’s first of the season, helped the Bears cut the Titans’ lead from 17-3 to 17-10 in the third quarter. The Bears ended up defeating the Tennessee team 24-17.
This kind of play is not typical of the position Owens plays, which makes for an even more exciting moment for the pair.
Biles and her husband have both supported their sports careers throughout their relationship.

The gymnast has previously cheered Owens on at numerous Green Day Packers games in Packers gear and said she loves supporting him.
Meanwhile, the NFL player was able to take a few days off during preseason training to watch Biles compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics last month.

Owens spoke to PEOPLE in July about how he enjoys cheering on his Olympic medalist wife.
“It’s super exciting just because I get to see all the work she put in before that, and you know what? Everything he goes through and dealing with the media and everything, he still goes out there and does it,” he said.
“It’s just impressive and it speaks to her coaching mindset and consistency,” Owens added. “The most important thing is how consistent it is.”
