Simone Biles caused quite a stir online after wearing the wrong merchandise to husband Jonathan Owens’ second preseason game with the Chicago Bears.
Over the weekend, the gymnast — who just returned from winning gold and breaking records at the 2024 Summer Olympics — attended a game between the Bears and the Cincinnati Bengals. And like many famous wives and girlfriends of NFL stars, Biles, 27, rocked a glamorous game-day look that 100% paid homage to her man — just not his team.
On Instagram, the athlete posted photos wearing an oversized Green Bay Packers jacket, which is a big no-no in football culture since the two teams have a deep-rooted rivalry that dates back to 1921.

Packers fans weren’t happy with Biles’ fashion choices, but her heart is definitely in the right place as black and white photos of Owens during his tenure as a safety for the Wisconsin team covered the outfit.
While many didn’t hold back when it came to their disdain for Biles’ jacket on social media, there were a few fans in her Instagram comments section who kindly encouraged her to trade her Packers gear for some Bears gear.
“Time to get the Bears version of that jacket now,” wrote one Instagram user.
Someone even tagged Kristin Juszczyk, designer and wife of San Francisco 49ers player Kyle Juszczyk, and asked her to make a Biles a Bears jacket (Juszczyk went viral last season for creating a custom Chiefs jacket for Taylor Swift among other custom apparel for NFL WAGs .)
Biles has yet to respond to the backlash, but has since shared pictures of her outfit, which also featured a Prada hat, jumpsuit and her custom diamond-encrusted goatee necklace.

Biles returned home from the Paris Olympics on August 12. Last month, Owens flew out to support her and watch her win gold in the all-around final, but he couldn’t stay for Biles’ subsequent individual finals — including the beam final and the floor exercise final, in which she won silver — because he had to return to training camp A bear.
Owens cheered on his wife in a ’90s-inspired T-shirt covered in pictures of Biles in gymnastic style, and it was also the cutest moment of the Games.
