Simone Biles Reveals the Unexpected Way She Plans Her Custom WAG Outfits for Husband Jonathan Owens' NFL Games

Simone Biles may dress to impress every time she steps into the stadium stands, but she’s actually super easy when it comes to putting together a game day outfit.

In an exclusive interview with Olympics.com, the award-winning gymnast, 27, admitted that she usually lets her custom outfitters decide what to wear to her husband Jonathan Owens’ soccer games.

“I approached some designers who make clothes and I have no ideas. I let them loose a little and said, ‘Surprise me.’ And then I put them together like that,” she says of her ensembles, which tend to lean stylistically toward Owens, who plays safety for the Chicago Bears.

For the Bears’ game against the Detroit Lions on Dec. 22 at Chicago’s Soldier Field, Simone Biles on the rise star wore a black shirt with flashy “36” emblazoned on it, inspired by Owens’ jersey number, a Prada beanie, puffer coat and $1,390 Prada ski boots. “Today’s ‘fit’ is actually very simple, only because the clothes of me and my friends did not arrive in time. So this is my backup,” she explained to the outlet, which taped the interview as Biles left for the event.

Like many WAGs like Taylor Swift, Brittany Mahomes, Olivia Culpo and Ciara, Biles has a closet full of clothes and accessories dedicated to her man and his NFL team.

At the Bears vs. San Francisco 49ers game on Dec. 8, the athlete sported a cool pair of running sweats with “Owens” emblazoned across the front. Last month, at the Bears’ game against the Minnesota Vikings before Thanksgiving, she took off a denim bomber jacket with her married name emblazoned across the middle.

In her chat with Olympics.com, Biles shared what it means to her to support her significant other after receiving his support for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

“It means the world to me. And I know it means so much to him that I can go and support his games. It means a lot to him that I leave the sidelines as soon as possible because he says that this is his routine before the game. So he’s always looking for me on the sidelines to give him, like, good vibes and wishes. It’s just his superstition.”

The Olympic star previously spoke to PEOPLE about how since being with Owens, she’s become more immersed in the sport he plays after “never” playing it growing up.
