Even gold medal-winning gymnasts don’t hold their landings each time. Simone Biles can attest to that.
The star gymnast, who is currently competing at the 2024 Paris Olympics, shared a video of her preparation on TikTok on August 2 (which she recorded on August 1 before casually winning the all-around gold medal).
Not only did she go through her makeup routine and show off exactly what she wears to be pageant-ready, but she also spilled some tea about a recent act of self-care gone wrong.
Simone Biles claps back at people commenting on her hair amid Paris 2024 Olympics heat: ‘Don’t come for me’
“I have a funny story for you,” she began. “So, for my 27th birthday, I got botox, like, baby botox, right here in my T-zone, and I didn’t like it. I didn’t get it again, and that was back in March.”
She went on to explain how one eyebrow would occasionally go up on its own while she was training — and other gymnasts would point it out to her — but she couldn’t get it to go down for nearly 20 seconds at a time.
“You would accidentally do that!” she recalled before showing that she could now do “all the facials.” [expressions]”, wrinkling his forehead emphatically.
“I won’t do it again,” she said of the cosmetic procedure.

Biles also revealed that she may or may not get a tattoo after this year’s games. She currently has a few, including the Olympic circuits, but she said she might get something like “Ode to Paris.”
“I’m not sure,” she thought as she continued to apply her makeup.

Biles also said on her TikTok that she was “really nervous” leading up to the day, but that she felt a little better that morning after going to therapy. She later shared the photo on Instagram on the morning of August 2 with the caption, “mental health matters.”
After speaking openly about how her mental health took a toll during the 2020 Tokyo Games, when she was forced to withdraw from the team finals and all-around due to “twisties”, Biles has openly put her mental health first in her gymnastics training , and that brought her up to two golds (so far) at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
