Simone Biles and husband Jonathan Owens are one step closer to completing their dream home!
In a series of photos posted to Biles’ Instagram Story on Monday, the Olympic gymnast gave her followers an update on the construction of her new home in Texas that she will share with her husband.
The first shot revealed the unfinished exterior of her abode, which was still plastered and surrounded by leveled earth. “Tiles are in,” she captioned the photo.

Biles was excited to say that “the frames for the sliding doors are in,” in a brief moment that revealed more bare wood beams in the interior space.
Another image reveals a clear shot of Biles’ “favorite view” she’ll be able to enjoy with Owens once their home is complete. The house appears to sit right next to the water’s surface and is surrounded by lush greenery.

Continuing the tour, the newlyweds wrote: “Can’t decide if this is the hallway of my dreams or the ones in my nightmares lmao,” alongside a photo showing the door frame and high ceilings starting to take shape.

The gymnast, 26, and the Green Bay Packers quarterback, 28, first teased that they were building a house together in September when Biles posted a carousel of photos with the caption, “Loading… π π€π .”
The post included a photo of the pair holding hands at a construction site along with footage of Owens walking down the empty hallways of his future apartment.

Biles and Owens were legally married at the 1910 Harris County Courthouse in Houston in April, just a month before remarrying in an elaborate ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
The destination wedding was attended by 140 guests, and Biles wore four different dresses during her big day.

In an exclusive chat with PEOPLE ahead of the nuptials, Biles revealed that she was “actually very surprised” when Owens proposed in February 2022, explaining, “I didn’t know it was coming. He’s very good at keeping secrets.”
“I started shaking a lot because then I said: ‘Wait, stop. What if he proposes to me?’ But I didn’t want to get my hopes up … and then he did it,” she continued. “And I just thought, I kind of had a feeling, but I wasn’t sure.”
