Simu Liu Rates All the Food Options at the Oscars and Afterparties on a Scale of 1-10 

He gives Sim Liu his honest opinion on food at the Oscars and after parties.

The Barbie star, who performed “I’m Just Ken” alongside Ryan Gosling at the 2024 Academy Awards, shared a post on Threads ranking the tastiest food at the star-studded event.

Liu, 34, began by ranking what he ate at the actual Oscars, sharing that host Jimmy Kimmel gave the stars some snacks.

“Oscars (3/10): Jimmy hid some soft pretzels and kids under our seats. it wasn’t glamorous, but it did the job,” he wrote.

Then he revealed that the Governor’s Ball, the official after-party of the Oscars, must be his favorite. “Vlad’s Ball (11/10): this was crazy. wood-fired pizzas, paella, wagyu, sliders, PEKING DUCK?!? the whole time I was doing nothing but inhaling food,” he said of the elite event.

Iconic vanity fair party is known for giving A-listers their favorite West Coast fast food — and according to Liu, it didn’t disappoint.

“Vanity Fair (7/10): ah the infamous party with burgers on tap in and out. he can’t be wrong,” he wrote.

At the end of last year, Liu went to Bangkok with his best friend of 22 years.

“We’ve been trying to plan this trip to Thailand for, I’d say, at least a decade,” he said. “Of course, it looked very different then. We were going to hitchhike everywhere and stay in hostels and eat dollar street food on the side of the road – which we still did, by the way. It was amazing.”
