Sinbad feels the love!
In his first Instagram post since 2022, the 67-year-old comedian reflected on the overwhelmingly positive response to his first public appearance since his stroke in 2020.
On February 29, he joined the other members A different world cast via Zoom for the first stop on a 10-city tour of historically black colleges and universities at the Atlanta University Center in Atlanta.
“Thank you for your prayers, support and positive thoughts. They brought me this far and they will see me to the finish line. It really is a different world here!” he captioned an Instagram Reel posted Monday.
In the video, the legendary comedian, born David Adkins, sat in a chair while watching a video of the event.
“Man, that was so cool,” he said, looking into the camera as the crowd erupted in applause.
“It’s beautiful,” the actor said of the footage showing the packed auditorium students watching it on the big screen.
Sinbad told his fans that he was surprised that college students knew who he was.

The actor played Coach Walter Oakes on the NBC sitcom that ran for six seasons, from September 24, 1987 to July 9, 1993. The series was a spin-off of The Cosby Showfollowing Denise Huxtable (Lisa Bonet) and student life at Hillman College, a fictional HBCU in Virginia.

In addition to the outpouring of support from students, Sinbad’s Instagram feed was filled with well-wishes from his peers.
“❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥🔥 NICE TO SEE YOU BROTHER,” wrote Terry Crews.

Holly Robinson Peete, Cedric the Entertainer, Howie Mandel, Wanda Sykes and more also expressed their happiness to see Sinbad in good spirits.
“Those words matter and I feel it — I feel those prayers,” Sinbad said in the video clip.
The Good Burger star also let his fans know that he has received emails from people dealing with similar health situations who have sent messages through his website and that he intends to respond to as many as possible.

Before ending his video, he shared a promise to those who supported him through the tough times.
“Expect to see me again soon, and don’t be alarmed if you turn around and I’m standing right behind you. ‘Sinbad, I can’t believe you’re here!’ You can’t believe it? You better believe. Miracles happen,” he concluded.
Sinbad suffered a stroke in October 2020, his family confirmed a few weeks later. In November 2022, his family shared an update on Instagram and his website, explaining that the stroke was caused after a blood clot traveled from his heart to his brain.
“The family believes, without exception, that Sinbad is here because of the many prayers of all who knew and loved him,” his family said in a 2022 statement. , unseen or unfelt. Thank you. You lifted his spirits and inspired the whole family along the way.”
