The anticipated sequel Sing 2 arrived in 2021, with Illumination bringing fans of the original animated musical another movie with a great story, great songs, and a touching ending. However, this wouldn’t be possible without a great voice cast to bring these characters to life. Sing 2 made the smart decision to bring in both award-winning actors and chart-topping musicians for the roles.

The passionate pig Rosita took a bigger role in Sing 2, as Buster Moon put her in the lead of the new production. It was Rosita overcoming her fears that led her, and the entire production, to great heights. Behind the pig is another Oscar-winning talent in Reese Witherspoon.
Fans can find Witherspoon at @reesewitherspoon. She has over 27 million followers and is always posting, with an impressive 453 uploads. These include a lot of Instagram Reels, some candid photos, and even gives her a chance to share what books she is currently reading.

Johnny, the teenage gorilla, was one of the key players in the first Sing movie, and in the second, he had to overcome new fears, this time of dancing. Voicing the gorilla in Sing 2 is the star of The Kingsman, Taron Egerton.
Egerton has an Instagram account, but he is nowhere near as prolific as his fellow voice actors. Fans can follow him at @taron.egerton. He only has nine posts, although there are 2.5 million fans following him. These include photos of his dog, some promotion for Sing 2, and a post showing his love of the Beatles’ documentary, Get Back.

Sing 2 had a villain that was mostly a gangster trope. When the singers arrived in the big city, they found a place to perform in a casino run by Jimmy Crystal. He is a wolf and media mogul who was also clearly the leader of a criminal empire.
Bobby Cannavale voiced Jimmy in the movie. Fans can follow him on Instagram at @bobby_cannavale. It might be shocking, but Cannavale is a prolific member of the cast on the social media network. The talented elephant Meena had a lot to overcome in Sing and she was back to her insecure self in Sing 2. This wasn’t about her singing anymore but was about a kiss she had to share as she had never kissed a boy before.

One of the most ridiculous characters in Sing 2 is Gunter, the passionate dancing pig. While he did little in the first movie outside of comedy moments, in the second movie he was tasked with creating the new musical.

Another new character in Sing 2 is Porsha Crystal. This is Jimmy’s daughter, who wanted to take on the lead role in the new production. Unlike her dad, Porsha is not a bad person, although she is a spoiled girl who always wants to get her way.
Another real musician took on this role, with singer Halsey taking on the role. Fans can follow Halsey at @iamhalsey. The singer has over 28 million followers and almost 550 posts. A lot of these include photos of her playing music, going out on the town, and some beautiful shots of her baby son.

Another newcomer to the cast in Sing 2 is a yak named Darius, who won a role in the production in the big city. He played a smaller but important role as the co-star than Meena had to get up the nerve to kiss during the play.
Eric Andre voices the yak in Sing 2. Andre, a television actor, and standup comedian, is on Instagram at @ericf**kingandre. He has an impressive 2.5 million followers and 2,285 posts. Most of his posts are either funny in nature or promote his shows or those of his friends.

The most shocking new addition to the cast of Sing 2 was U2 lead singer Bono. He played a retired rock star named Clay Calloway, a lion who quit the business when his wife died. He finally returned and gave the show the star power it needed to succeed, delivering one of the best songs in Sing 2.

Pharrell Williams (@pharrell)
Another newcomer to the Sing 2 cast is Alfonso. He is the elephant who runs the ice cream truck outside the arena that the production takes place in. He is also a romantic interest for Meena and the two of them end up bonding by the end of the movie.
This was another highly successful musician, as Pharrell took on the role of Alfonso. He is on Instagram at @pharrell. Much like Bono, he has a big following at 13 million, but has very few posts, at only 30. His photos are mostly selfies of himself.
