Sione Vaki Wiki – Sione Vaki was born in 2001. He graduated from Liberty High School in 2019 and was previously invited to the Polynesian Bowl. Utah Utes sophomore Sione Vaki grew up Mormon and spent two years in church missions before joining the Utes. His mother’s ambition was for her son to devote himself to religion.
Vaki is the youngest of 11 siblings with Tongan ancestry, which is why he is known as the Tongan Nightmare. Although he spent most of his career as a safety, he has recently made headlines for his position as a running back. Vaki ran for 149 yards and two touchdowns against USC. His mobility has helped Utah in its current injury crisis.

Sione Vaki is a great soccer player for the University of Utah. He is from Antioch, California. He is 22 years old and is only in his second year. Vaki comes from a pious family and had to postpone his college career to fulfill his church mission. In Oakley, California, Vaki and his family are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In 2019, Vaki announced in front of church leaders, family and friends that he would do a two-year mission for the Church before enrolling in college. He did this to pay tribute to his late mother, Oto’ota Vaka. Sione was a standout at Liberty, where he helped the team win the CIF North Coast Section Division I state championship in 2017. During his junior year at Liberty, he had 1,214 all-purpose yards, including 809 receiving (12 touchdowns) and 358 rushing (six touchdowns).
He was also a member of the 2018 Liberty BVAL Championship, which finished second in California. Vaki had 1,684 all-purpose yards as a senior, including 111 punt returns (one score), 96 punt returns, 75 interceptions and 43 runs (one score). Sione started all 14 games as a rookie last year, recording 41 tackles and a career-high nine tackles against Washington State. Vaki’s responsibilities increased this year as he started not only at safety but also at fullback in two games.

Sione Vaki’s ancestors came from the Polynesian kingdom of Tonga. The security guard is one of the 11 children of Piuleini Vaki and the late Oto’ot Vaki. Oto’ota Vaki, Vakis’ mother, died in 2016 after a battle with liver cancer. In an interview with 49ers Cal-Hi Sports, Sione noted that he has always been a mama’s boy, so losing her at such a critical time in his life was difficult for him and his family.
When questioned about his mother’s death, Sione appeared tearful but managed to smile brightly at the interrogator as he remembered his mother and declared that he was her child. The player also said that his mother’s death accelerated his maturation and that he will meet his mother again one day. Sion’s father Piuleini Vaki also said that his mother is always with him on the field. Vaki hasn’t revealed much about his siblings, although he posted a photo of them on Instagram. Piuleini is on Facebook, where he posted several family pictures, including a memorial to his late wife.
