Bhupinder Singh was born on Tuesday, February 6, 1940, in Amritsar, Punjab, British India, at the age of 82; his original name was Bhupinder Soin. His zodiac sign is Aquarius. Bhupinder Singh received musical training as a child from his musician father. However, he hates music because he thinks it will never give him respect. In an interview with the media, Bhupinder Singh said that in his family, his father and brother are both musicians. He said,

Later, he sang several duets such as “Duniya Chhute Yaar Na Chhute” and “Aane Se Uske Aaye Bahar” with famous Indian singers Kishore Kumar and Mohammad Rafi. In 1968, he released his first long-playing album of personal music. In 1978, he introduced Spanish guitar, bass, and drums to some of his ghazals and released an album of long-playing music. In 1980, Bhupinder Singh released a full-length music album titled Woh Jo Shair Tha with Indian lyricist Gulzar.
