Meri Brown called for the harsh reference while talking about Kody Brown’s emotional availability and the standards she couldn’t meet in their multiple marriages.
In Sunday’s part of 2 episodes Sister Wives: Tell everyoneMeri revealed that she felt Kody didn’t appreciate her love and “loyalty” in their 32-year marriage.
“He said he did, you know, years ago,” she explained to host Sukanya “Suki” Krishnan. “I don’t think he appreciated what he saw.”
Meri, 52, claimed that she persistently complied with all of Kody’s demands in order to save their marriage.

“He would ask me to do things and ask me to be a certain way or ask me to fix a situation or ask me to share some information with him,” she recalled. “All these things so I could fix the relationship and I did everything he asked me to do.”
Despite her best efforts to display the qualities the Brown family patriarch, 54, claimed to value most, the innkeeper said “it just wasn’t good enough.”
Meri added that Kody wasn’t “emotionally available” to her and watching him give access to his other women wasn’t a “dagger in the heart” but a “knife in my kidneys.” She laughed after bringing up Kody’s previous explosive conflict with his third wife Christine Brown when she announced her decision to leave their multiple marriage.
On the other hand, Kody claimed that he “told her I love her” and decided to “love her” and “be romantic”, even though he was never “head over heels” in love, contrary to Mera’s beliefs.

“It wasn’t that kind of experience for me,” he explained. “But I’ve always been a life-affirming person. I would always affirm what I wanted and that’s why I told her and did everything I could to love her. She thinks we were mad at each other and… we faked it.”
“We had a very romantic experience. We started like that, but there were a lot of dysfunctions we had,” he added.
While Kody will “always love her,” he said he can’t “be in love with her.”
“It’s not safe for me,” he said. “Make peace, whatever you want, but I’m telling you, I’m not going to sit here and drive a bus over her, because this is sad. It’s heartbreaking. It just didn’t work.”
