Sister Wives Sliding Doors? Kody Opens Up About Women He Was Courting — and Who Shut Down a Potential Proposal

Kody Brown reflects on what might have followed the collapse of his polygamous family within 14 months.

During the 3rd part Sister wives answer special, Kody, 54, admitted that his ex Christine Brown “basically adjusted everything” when she came into the family after they married in 1994.

She claims she resented another woman joining the family even before she became official with Kody, saying, “There was a woman I courted for a very long time before I married Janelle. She and Meri were friends. After I married Christine, she still wanted to be a family. Christine closed it the first time because Christine and I were friends, she says, ‘I would never have married you if you had married her’.”

He added: “And then Christine had no interest in having her in the family after Christine came into the family.”

However, Christine, 51, recalled her and Kody’s history differently, explaining: “I didn’t try to stop Kody from remarrying. I just don’t remember her wanting to marry Kody at all. That’s just a lie. I’m sorry, that’s just a lie. And why does he live in the past? Why is this relevant to anything 1704101541?”

Kody said he was “coming back” through their relationship because there were “sacrifices I made to love Christine.”

Janelle took issue with Kody’s stance, saying, “Oh man, the sacrifice of loving you. I think I would decorate it at that point. What the hell?”
