Snoop Dogg Reveals He’s Afraid of Horses: ‘I’m Just Scared of Them’

Snoop Dogg opens up about his surprising phobia of animals.

On the September 12 episode of Snoop Dogg’s YouTube News Series Double G NewsThe “Sensual Seduction” rapper, 51, admitted to his equinophobia, or fear of horses, saying: “I’m just—— afraid of them.”

The Death Row Records owner, who was dressed in a dressing gown, was joined on his show by guest Tiffany Haddish, who wore a pink tartan suit. During their discussion, Night school star talked about his childhood dream of raising horses on a farm, to which he replied: “I’m scared of horses.”

“What? As big as you?” replied the actress (43).

“To this day also”, the Training day the actor replied. “I don’t know why I’m just freaking scared of them.”

“Are you serious?” Haddish asked.

“So seriously. You’ve never seen me in a scene with a horse. I’ve been in a scene with ostriches, iguanas, all kinds of s—,” Snoop explained. “I’ve never been in a scene with a horse, like, get that whore––––– away from me. I don’t know why!”

Snoop, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., revealed to Haddish that while his wife Shante Broadus kept the horse she enjoyed riding for three years “for her peace of mind,” he refused to interact with the animal and preferred to keep it at his distance.

“Maybe in your past life you fell off a horse,” Haddish said, to which Snoop joked, “I think I might have been the Headless Horseman [in my past life],” referring to the famous folkloric figure who rides around headlong on a horse while torturing the villagers.

Although Snoop does not know the reason for his phobia, he understands the attraction of horses and is ready to solve his fear in the future.

“I understand what a horse means to people,” he explained to Haddish. “Maybe one day someone can introduce me to a baby horse… A little donkey or something I can learn to be around.”
