Southern Charm’s Olivia Flowers Recalls Her Final Conversation with Brother Connor Before His Unexpected Death

Tragedy struck Charleston on Thursday Southern charm.

The episode began with Madison LeCroy stopping by Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo to inform them that Shepa Rose’s ex, Taylor Ann Green, had sent Whitney Sudler-Smith a nude photo.

“Oh yeah, I saw,” said Craig, 34, adding to Paige, 30, “Yeah, I forgot to tell you this.”

After learning about Taylor, 28, and Austen’s kiss, Craig wondered: “What is it with her and all of Shep’s friends? I think she’s really lost.”

Austen, 36, went to visit his parents and told them what had happened with Taylor and Olivia Flowers. “Taylor was freaking out about Shep and we were just there for each other,” Austen explained. “We hung out a lot.”

Austen’s mom asked if he and Taylor were sleeping together, to which Austen claimed they weren’t. “But you know, we kissed,” Austen said.

“Does this appear to be a pattern?” Austen’s dad asked.

Austen admitted that he had a pattern of sabotaging relationships, so he began seeing a therapist.

ANOTHER FAMILY GATHERING

At Patricia Altschul’s home, 55-year-old Whitney helped her 82-year-old mother FaceTime her former butler Michael, who had gone to live in a nursing home in Florida after suffering a stroke.

“I miss him every day,” Patricia (82) said in an on-camera interview. “He’s really like a family member.”

Patricia asked Michael to show her how to make a martini, and he complied.

“Doing everything Michael did is a real art,” Patricia said on camera.

Michael pointed out that it had been two years since his media “incident” and Patricia wiped away tears after they hung up.

UNEXPECTED FAREWELL

Venita Aspen and Leva Bonaparte met for dinner and after a while they don’t think that Olivia (31) or Taylor will show up. When Leva got to Taylor, she informed Leva, 44, that she had heard that Olivia’s brother Connor might have died.

“Wait, what? No!” – said 30-year-old Venita.

Venita and Leva quickly abandoned their dinner plans after ordering a round of margaritas.

Taylor called Austen to discuss the news.

“I think she was just in shock and just kept saying, ‘I feel like a nightmare,'” Taylor Austen said.

In an on-camera interview, Austen talked about how he would unfortunately be able to bond with Olivia because his older sister Kyle died when he was 7 years old.

“I want to visit her, but I don’t know what to do,” Austen Taylor said.

Taylor recommended reaching out to her, but Austen said he didn’t want to make things worse. When he later discussed the situation with his therapist, she recommended that they be “present to Olivia as friends as much as she allows.”

“Maybe it’s like my purpose in all of this is to show her what time can do, how to move on,” Austen told her therapist.

Shep, 43, decided to offer his house to Olivia’s friends and family who were coming into town since he lived across the street, and Venita and Leva organized a low-key get-together for Olivia at Venita’s house.

“I couldn’t go into his room, while my mom just wants to stay,” Olivia told Levi and Venita. “So we’re just all on different, really different pages. He is so attentive, sweet and kind that that is what everyone says about him. I hope he knew how much he was loved. I just hope he knew that.”

Leva assured Olivia: “He knows everything now.”

In an on-camera interview, Oliva recalled one of her last conversations with Connor before he died at age 32. “One of the last things he said to me was, ‘You’re doing everything right. You’re exactly where you should be and I hope I am, you know, I hope you can look at me and be as proud of me as I am proud of you,’ she said.

Taylor showed up and Olivia felt the love, telling her friends, “I really, really appreciate you.”
