Srushti Deshmukh became the top topper in the UPSC/IAS 2018 examination on April 5, 2019 and secured the fifth all-India rank. She passed the exam on her first try.

23-year-old UPSC topper Srushti Jayant Deshmukh hails from Kasturba Nagar in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
Srushti has always been a very bright student and she attended Carmel Convent School, BHEL, Bhopal, where she scored 93.4% in her class 12th examination. She received her bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Lakshmi Narain Institute of Technology, Bhopal (2014-2018).
Family, caste and boyfriends
Srushti’s father Jayant Deshmukh is an engineer working in a private company and her mother Sunita Deshmukh is a primary school teacher. She has a younger brother.

- According to Srusti, she had planned to give the UPSC exam just one chance and if she didn’t succeed in the first attempt, she would not try again.
- Srushti practices yoga regularly and is interested in studying it.
- She always wanted to become an IAS officer, it was her childhood dream.
