Shivada

Shivada is an Indian actress who appears in Malayalam and Tamil films. She is known for her roles in Su Su Sudhi Vathmeekam (2015) (Malayalam) and Adhe Kangal (2017) (Tamil).

KV Srilekha, better known as Sshivada, was born on Wednesday, April 23, 1986, in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India (36 years old as of 2022). After her family moved to Kerala from Tamil Nadu, Sshivada completed her education from Viswajyothi CMI Public School, Angamali. She pursued her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering (B.Tech) from Adishankara College of Engineering and Technology, Kaladi, Ernakulam, Kerala.

She was born in Tiruchirappalli in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, where she studied up to fifth standard before her family moved to Kerala.

Shivada made a brief appearance in the Malayalam anthology “Kerala Cafe” released in 2009. In 2011, she played the female lead in Malayalam director Fazil’s supernatural romance film “Together”. Sshivada took a break from acting after giving birth to her daughter Arundhathhi. She revealed in an interview that she had to withdraw from three films because she was pregnant with her daughter; all projects involved top actors; however, Shivada has no regrets because she considers her daughter to be more important than anything else.

Malayalam

In 2015, she played the female lead in Ranjith Sankar’s comedy-drama Su Su Sudhi Vathmeekam; Shivada played the role of Kalyani, a speech therapist, and her performance received positive reviews. In 2016, she starred in Inspector Dawood Ibrahim (IDI) directed by Sajid Yahiya; she played the female lead (Nithya Niranjan) in the film. Starring opposite Jayasurya. Sshivada played the role of ‘Anitha’ in Kunchacko Boban starrer ‘Shikkari Shambhu’ which was released in January 2018. She made a cameo appearance in Prithviraj Sukumaran’s directorial debut Lucifer, which released in 2019; the film became the highest-grossing Malayalam film. In 2022, Sshivada was selected as one of the leads in the musical film Meri Awas Suno and acted alongside her favorite actress Manju Warrier.

She played the role of Dr. Nayana in Jeehu Joseph’s suspense thriller “12th Man”. The film starring Mohanlal was released on Disney+ Hotstar on May 20, 2022.

In 2014, she played the female lead in Nedunchaalai. Her character (Manga) received critical acclaim and was loved by the audience. Baradwaj Rangan, a former deputy editor of The Hindu, called her a “wonderful newcomer”. Shivada played Priya/Lilith in the 2016 fantasy horror film Zero, which failed at the box office but received attention for her performance. She played Vasundhra aka Deepa and Ashwini in Adhe Kangal (2017) and received accolades for her performance. In 2021, she played the role of ‘Kani’ in ‘Maara’, an adaptation of the 2015 Malayalam film ‘Charlie’.

Music album

Before becoming an actress, Shivada appeared in a few Malayalam album songs including “Ninakkayi…” in which she appeared in a song titled “Ennakaruppin Ezhazhaku” (2008). In 2010, she appeared in the Malayalam album Mazha and in 2011, she appeared in another album titled Nilavu.
