Stassi Schroeder Returns to Work with Lisa Vanderpump Again, Joining Season 2 Cast of Vanderpump Villa

Stassi Schroeder is returning to reality TV!

The Vanderpump Rules The alum, 36, is set to join the cast of the spinoff series Villa Vanderpump, which has just been renewed for a second season. Lisa Vanderpump announced the news in an Instagram post on Aug. 9, where she raised a glass of champagne while teasing the upcoming season.

“Well, hello, welcome back The Vanderpump Villa season 2,” she began. “Now I’m sitting here thinking, ‘What should I put on the menu?’ Do you have any ideas?”

The camera then panned to another person sitting at the table: Schroeder!

“Lisa, obviously goat cheese balls,” she replied, referring to a popular appetizer she loved while working at Sur (the restaurant where Vanderpump Rules created back in 2013).

“Great idea, cheers!” Vanderpump said. “Welcome back, dear!”

In the comments, fans celebrated the news of Schroeder’s return to Bravo after she and co-star Kristen Doute were fired from VPR in June 2020 for past racially insensitive actions involving the cast of Faith Stowers, which they have since acknowledged and apologized for.

“Oh I’ve been waiting my whole life for Stassis to come back,” one person wrote, while another added, “NOOOOOOO STASSI IS BACK ON MY TV SCREEN.”

Schroeder shared the post on her own account, posting a photo of her and Vanderpump at the French villa where the show takes place.

“You know I walk these halls pretending to be European royalty #vanderpumpvilla,” she wrote in the caption.

The Vanderpump Villa documented the dramatic escapes of the staff at her French country estate, Chateau Rosabelle. For the first season, which premiered in April, Vanderpump handpicked twelve stars who fill every role necessary for her catering venture, from executive chefs to mixologists to housekeepers.

Similar to Vanderpump Rules, the series followed “decadence and debauchery” as the staff fulfilled their professional duties—curating luxurious experiences and indulging the whims of their clientele—while managing their own interpersonal rivalries and romances.

On the same day Schroeder’s addition to The Vanderpump Villa released, news broke that she’s also getting her own docu-comedy on Hulu. It consists of episodes of 30 minutes, Stassi says will be executive produced by Schroeder and ex VPR produced by Erin Foye and Jenna Rosenfeld.

“Infinitely relatable, utterly hysterical and questionably sane, Stassi anchors a fresh ensemble of comedic and chaotic characters facing identity crises and major life crossroads of their own — and it’s Stassi who must keep them all afloat,” the series synopsis reads.

This is the first time Vanderpump has worked with Schroeder again since her departure from VPR four years ago.
