Explaining that he and co-star Stephen Graham both faced scheduling issues, Daniel said: “We’re good friends, Stephen and I, but it would be pretty impossible to get us back in the same room because of work commitments.

“We were lucky to get three seasons of Code 404 and we had a lot of fun doing it, but it’s almost certainly not coming back.”

The comedy, which first aired in 2020, revolves around two investigators, Inspector John Major (Daniel Mays) and Inspector Roy Carver (Stephen Graham). After the former is killed in a botched sting operation, his body is used for an AI project, but upon his revival, John’s colleagues quickly realize that his version of the AI ​​lacks crime-solving instincts.

The 50-year-old actor is busier than ever and has several projects on the go. Back in August, Netflix released a teaser trailer for Stephen’s latest detective drama Bodies. Based on the 2015 graphic novel of the same name, the series is set in three different time frames.
