Cara Delevingne Says She’s Deleting Social Media After Her Account Got Hacked: ‘I Am Furious’

Cara Delevingne is leaving X for good.

The 31-year-old model was “furious” at the social media company, formerly known as Twitter, after it appeared to fail to fix her hacked account in time.

Before officially exiting the app, Delevingne shared two posts explaining that scammers had tried to sell products under her name. According to Just Jared, the hackers also promised that the funds would be donated to charity.

“I was hacked a week ago and it took me so long to get back on my account!” she wrote in one, adding in another, “I’m so mad at twitter or whatever it’s called now because it took so long to get my account back!! So many people have been scammed and I am furious. I will delete my account so this never happens again.”

Before the conundrum, Delevingne used X as a vessel for her truth and occasionally used her account to talk about her mental health.

Cara Delevingne says she’s ‘learning to love’ herself amid her struggles with perfectionism

In June, she spoke at a NewYork-Presbyterian event about her anxiety and perfectionism.

“The things that really helped me were learning to love myself through other people and learning to really be who I am with other people, because I think my whole thing was always trying to be perfect, even though I definitely wasn’t perfect. In my head, I just wanted to be better than what I am,” she said.
