In 1969, he met his future bandmates Joe Perry (guitar) and Tom Hamilton (bass) at a local rock show. The three of them decided to form a band. Aerosmith was founded in 1970 with two other musicians. The band signed to Columbia Records in 1972 and their self-titled album was released in 1973. ‘Get Your Wings’, the band’s next album, was released in 1974. The band was also touring at the time. Aerosmith had a successful run in the mid-1970s. The band became famous after releasing albums such as ‘Toys in the Attic’ (1975) and ‘Rocks’ (1976). (1976).
Because of the band’s success, Tyler quickly became a youth icon and sex symbol. During 1976, ‘Aerosmith’ was in high demand at major rock music festivals, performing to sold-out crowds. In 1977, the album ‘Draw the Line’ was released. This album, like its predecessors, was a fantastic success. Also included are the singles ‘Draw the Line’ and ‘Get it Up’.
