Storm Reid and her boyfriend, Sayeed Shahidi, are a cute couple. They started dating after meeting at the Disney XD Jungle Ball party in February 2017. They ended up going to the same high school.

During their high school years, Reid and Shahidi regularly went to proms and other Hollywood events together. They stepped out as a couple in April 2019 after Shahidi’s sister Yara Shahidi helped her then-16-year-old brother ask the then-15-year-old A Wrinkle in Time actress to prom. “After FaceTime chats with his older sister, talking to his friends and finding out what would make her happy, Sayeed SURPRISED Storm with the CUTEST proposal,” the Imagine That actor said on Instagram. Shahidi asked Storm for custom posters with drawings and pictures of the two, as recommended by his sister.

“Storms are uncommon in LA, happy to discover one,” the billboard read. Similarly, Reid donned a light pink feather minidress for her last high school homecoming dance in November 2019. She was joined by her partner, who was dressed in a maroon velvet suit. In 2020, the Suicide Squad actress will graduate from high school. In an Instagram post on May 17, she thanked her family, friends and loved ones for their support over the years. Shahidi also announced his high school graduation on Instagram on June 16, 2020. In his message, he said, “Congratulations to everyone who reached this milestone this year!”

Reid and Shahidi’s relationship is normally kept under wraps. They rarely communicate their feelings for each other through social media posts or long captions. However, on important occasions like birthdays, they are seen invading their privacy and posting their pictures. Shahidi, for example, grammed a series of photos and movies of himself and Reid in a now-deleted Instagram post in July 2021. He sent them to the actress to wish her a happy 18th birthday.

“It’s a bizarre time for me because it seems like just a few weeks ago we met at 13 and now you’re a fully grown 18-year-old who’s done so much [sic]”, he said in the announcement. He continued to express his opinion, adding that the memories they had created up to that point would be with him for the rest of his life. He also couldn’t wait to see what the universe had in store for them.
Finally, the Uncle Buck actor wrote: “Happy birthday Twinny, I love you so much,” saying he was inspired by who she was, happy to be in her life and happy to have her in his. In another instance, Reid and Shahidi celebrated both Valentine’s Day and Shahidi’s birthday in 2021. On the occasion, they appeared on an episode of Chop It Up on Facebook Watch and had a candid discussion about their lives, families and careers.
