Jody Cundy made a number of mistakes during the dance, including a missed lift

The Paralympian never recovered and missed several steps
Paralympian Jody, 45, was first with his salsa alongside pro partner Jowita Przystal, but things didn’t go to plan as they failed to hit one of their big lifts.
Things continued to unravel after that as Jody never seemed to recover from the mistake and struggled with the rest of his stride.
Jowita did her best to avoid the mistakes, but they didn’t go unnoticed by the judges and after Eddie and pro partner Karen Hauer danced their American Smooth, they unanimously decided to send Jody and Jowita home.
Strict viewers watched his dance through their fingers and commented on how badly he did, made worse by the fact that it was his birthday on Saturday, when the results show was pre-recorded ready to air tonight.
Taking to X – ex-Twitter – one fan wrote: “Jody going home on his birthday is actually the cruelest thing everrrrr but definitely the right decision :(.”
Another added: “Oh I feel so sorry for Jody. Last night I thought he deserved to go this weekend but I don’t want anyone to go to a bad dance. Jody made SO many mistakes. After missing the lift he just didn’t get the dance back .”
A third tweeted: “Oh dear poor Jodie that wasn’t good. #StrictlyI actually thought they were going to drop her at one point.”
A fellow viewer commented: “Oh I feel for Jody, he looks like he’s under pressure and struggling to remember his steps.”
Meanwhile a fifth simply wrote: “Absolute horror show from Jody!”
When Tess Daly asked him about his time on the show, Jody said: “You know what, when I signed up for this I thought what the hell am I signing up for and we did that first live show and I absolutely loved every second of it it.
“And just being able to dance and do something I’ve never done before and completely step out of my comfort zone with this amazing person.”
Continuing to praise Jowita, he said, “This person has so much energy, every morning like we have nine o’clock, the start of training and she’s like BAMMM, like this, she walks into the room like a real cannonball and she just doesn’t stop all day.
“And she doesn’t lose faith at all, she doesn’t lose anything, she motivates me to do more and more. So I was absolutely delighted.”
