Strictly in new fix row as fans claim star was ‘robbed’ after close final

STRICTLY is in a new ‘fixed’ row as Chris McCausland has been crowned the winner of this year’s series.

The remaining couples battled it out during a spectacular two and a half hour extravaganza to win the coveted Glitterball trophy.

Blind comedian Chris and Australian professional Dianne Buswell performed three spots that wowed the judges and viewers at home.

JLS star JB Gill and pro Lauren Oakley, actresses Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola, and Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri and Ajaz Skorjanec also took to the dance floor for the last time.

Despite several fans saying Chris was a “worthy” winner, some said Tasha was “technically” better and should have it.

One wrote: “What a shame people are voting for their favorite celebrity and not the best dancer. It was clear from day one who was going to win, simply based on who they are, not how they dance.”

Another said: “Chris was amazing but Tasha was technically better.”

A third echoed: “Is there any point in watching the #Strictly final? I mean it was a guarantee that Chris would win the glitter ball regardless of who was better on the night, I feel a bit sorry for the rest of the celebs for even trying .”

This person shared, “Chris is the weakest of the 4 finalists. But he is the most deserving winner.”

Another added: “Tasha and Sarah should have won, they were much more polished on the dance floor. But Chris is still a worthy winner.”

After Chris was crowned, the comedian broke down in tears and hugged pro Dianne.

He told co-host Tess Daily: “It’s amazing, I don’t know what to say. I honestly thought I was going to be out in the first week or two.

“I know no one came out the first week, but I still thought I could.”

He went on to praise Dianne, adding, “She’s positive, she’s faith, and she’s honestly just one of the easiest people to be funny with.”

“With opportunity, support and determination, anything can happen.”

Chris performed a Show Dance to You Get What You Give by New Radicals, the couple’s choice for Instant Karma! (We All Shine On) by John Lennon and the waltz You’ll Never Walk Alone by Gerry and the Pacemakers.

Tasha hit the dance floor with Benny Goodman’s Show Dance to Sing, Sing, Sing, Couple’s Choice to What About Us P!nk and Lewis Capaldi’s American Smooth to Someone You Loved.

Star Miranda Sarah performed her Show Dance to Metropole Orchestra’s Cabaret, Heather Small’s American Smooth to Proud and Madonna’s Cha Cha to Like A Prayer.

Pop star JB will perform Show Dance to Motown Medley, then Viennese Waltz to Let’s Go Fly A Kite from Mary Poppins and finally Samba to Mas Que Nada by Sergio Mendes.

Last week we saw Pete Wicks and Jowita Pryzstal go home in the semi-final dance, narrowly missing out on a place in the final.

Pete and Jowita took to the podium again with Tasha Ghouri and Alijaz Skorjanec on the dance floor and the judges decided to save Tasha and Alijaz for the dance again.
