Strictly viewers are convinced they’ve worked out first elimination after week two show

Strictly Come Dancing viewers in the first results show of the series on Sunday night are convinced they have decided which couple will go home.

Taking to Xu, formerly known as Twitter, after Saturday’s live show, fans shared their predictions, with many suggesting that Les Dennis and Nancy Xu could be the first to be eliminated.

One person wrote: “Sorry Les – I think he could dance again and he could go,” while another added: “#Strictly so many good dancers. I think Les could go tomorrow.”

A third person tweeted: “I think the leaderboard says it all, not sure I’ve seen that before in a series, top 4/5 will be top 4/5, the good ones are good… Les is going home. Bless .”

Other viewers, however, were more hopeful that Les would stay in the competition. “Absolutely vote for Les Dennis because he’s funny and awesome,” one fan wrote, while another praised the actor, adding: “Les is STRICT! We can have it all [100 emoji] the artists we want but also need @LesDennis. I love it #Strict.”

On Saturday night’s program, Les and Nancy danced the Samba. As the pair received a standing ovation from the crowd, judge Craig Revel Horwood naturally shared his brutal criticism, saying Les’s vaults made him look like he was “limping with a broken angle”. ouch

Head judge Shirley Ballas, on the other hand, said she would give him a ten for entertainment and praised the performance as “brilliant”.

The couple received 15 points for the dance and found themselves at the bottom of the ranking.

Meanwhile, Layton Williams secured first place after an incredible Quickstep by him and Nikita Kuzmin. Not only did the pair close the show, but they also scored the first nines of the series, receiving a whopping 36 points from the judges.

On Sunday night, hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will reveal which two couples are at the bottom of the table. This will be worked out by combining the judges’ scores from week one and two with the result of the public vote.

The lowest-scoring couples will battle it out in the dreaded dance-off before the judges finally decide who goes home.
