Strictly’s Nigel Harman ‘storms off’ BBC dancefloor after dropping down the leaderboard

FURIOUS Nigel Harman was filmed running off the Strictly dance floor after judges slammed his quickstep.

The actor, 50, and professional partner Katya Jones’ routine to Duke Ellington’s It Don’t Mean A Thing left them second from the bottom of the top judges’ list.

And Nigel was visibly distressed when Craig Revel Horwood said: “The footwork, my love – it went quite wrong.”

He lowered his head as Anton Du Beke added, “Well, it’s a shame you’re such a brilliant dancer. It’s just amazing, and then you make a few mistakes.”

And footage with 1.4 million views on social media shows him rushing backstage seconds after BBC cameras stopped rolling.

Katya stands still for a moment before rushing off, while the other contestants happily dance and hug each other.

One viewer wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Are the Strictly judges proud of themselves? Nigel was devastated tonight, he couldn’t even face a ‘Keep dancing’ moment after the cameras stopped.

“Taking away someone’s love of dance and self-confidence should not be the theme of the play.”

Former pro Robin Windsor agreed: “Nigel is NOT happy!”

But despite a score of 31, he avoided dancing at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom thanks to audience votes.

Instead, it was Angela Rippon, 79, and Bobby Brazier, 20, who were forced to go again – with Angela and partner Kai Widdrington in charge.
