Suchitra Ramadurai was born on Saturday, August 14, 1982 (41 years old; as of 2023) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Her star sign is Leo. She went to school in Tamil Nadu. After graduation, she worked for IT company Sify. After working there for a year, she applied for the post of RJ at Radio Mirchi and was selected, where she gained huge popularity with the radio show “Hello Chennai”. Later, she started working as an RJ on another radio show “Flight983”. She used to sing advertising songs for Indian singer Timothy Madhukar, who later introduced her to Harris Jayaraj (Indian film composer). She became a singer under the guidance of Indian music directors Yuvan and Bharadwaj. In an interview, talking about her first recording as a singer, she said:
The first song I recorded for Mani Sharma was a disaster. It was a delicate love song and I had no idea what to do with it. But Mani Sir seemed to see potential in me and started calling me for assignments. This gradually helped shape my voice, expression and intonation. So when Dole and Ipatinka No one can blame me for what happened. If I had a guru, it was Mani Sir.”
Her debut as a singer was “Uyirin Uyire” from Kakka Kakka (2003). She has sung over 100 songs in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu, such as “En Polave Kattru” from Lesa Lesa (2002), “Kanavu Periya Kanavugal” from Ullam Ketkumae (2005), “June Maadham” from Kalloori (2007), “Excuse Me” from Kanthaswamy (2009) and “Diamond Girl” from Baadshah (2013).
She has acted in several Tamil films such as Jay Jay (2003), Aayutha Ezhuthu (2004) and Bale Pandiya (2010). She has worked as a voice actor in several Tamil films including Thiruttu Payale (2006), Poi Solla Porom (2008), Kanthaswamy (2009), Mankatha (2011) and Naan Sigappu Manithan (2014). In 2014, she was a judge on the Malayalam reality TV show Music India. In 2020, she participated in the popular reality TV show Bigg Boss Tamil 4 as a wild card contestant.

A series of allegations against some Kollywood celebrities
In March 2017, she was in the news for posting intimate photos of famous Indian actors Dhanush, Anirudh Ravichander and Hansika Motwani on her Twitter account. In her other tweets, she accused famous Indian actor Dhanush and music composer Anirudh Ravichander of drugging and sexually assaulting her. She also posted some nude photos and video clips of Indian actresses Anuya and Sanchitha Shetty. Later, in an interview, her husband said that she was mentally ill and that she was posting such objectionable things on Twitter because of her poor mental health.

In May 2024, her ex-husband Karthik Kumar shared a video on Instagram, responding to her claims that he was gay. Karthik said that he would be proud to call himself gay. He said,
If I were gay, wouldn’t I? I would not be ashamed of being gay. I would be very, very proud to be any of the wide and glorious spectrum of sexual orientations. I would not be ashamed. I would be proud. I would go to the pride rally in my city, I would go no matter what. People of all sexual orientations would go to pride rallies and show support. There is no shame anymore. There is only pride. Be proud. ”
Blames Trisha and Chinmayi for ruining her career
In May 2024, Suchitra Ramadurai criticized Trisha Krishnan for making her a victim of Suchi’s leaks. Suchitra also named singer Chinmayi.
Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan allegedly had homosexual experience
In a May 2024 interview, she revealed that Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan had a homosexual relationship with her ex-husband Kartik Kumar in London. She also claimed that these Bollywood celebrities often visit countries where “homosexuality” is legal. She said,
Once when Karthik was travelling in London, he did meet Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan and they did hang out in an alley full of bars. They were cross-dressing. This is what Karan and Shah Rukh always do when they go abroad. They cross-dress and go to the gay area. They blend into the atmosphere and enjoy the night.”
