Sudhir Sangwan accused of murder
Sonali Phogat’s brother Rinku Dhaka blamed Sangwan for raping Sonali Phogat and Sudhir planning to steal her house last year. Sonali Phogat’s brother Rinku Dhaka also accused him of killing Sonali for her money and property.
Sudhir started working at the Gohan Bar and later left the practice to start a poultry farm near his village. In 2019, he came in contact with Sonali Phogat during the Lok Sabha elections, through a man. Soon he started working with Sonali Phogat as his personal assistant.
Sudhir helped her during the election campaigns. Before Sonala’s death, Sudhir had strong control over Sonala’s personal belongings like flat, farm house, financial assets.
On August 22, 2022, Sonali Phogat was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Goa. Rumor has it that she died of a heart attack, but the autopsy showed that she had a lot of injuries on her body. And when the post-mortem report came, Sonala’s family claimed that she was raped by 2 people.
In the police investigation, the police made Sudhir even more suspicious with the CCTV footage, which showed Sudhir shaking hands with Sonali as she could not even walk properly.
