Sugandha Date was born in Nagpur in 2005 (age 14 in 2019).

She is studying in class 10th. Sugandha has had a keen interest in music since she was a child and started studying music at the age of 5. Initially, her mother helped her learn the basics of music, after which she attended Anand Sharma’s music classes to learn classical singing. In 2013, she moved to Mumbai and participated in the music reality show Indian Idol Junior. She made it to the first 5 rounds of the show before being eliminated. After participating in Indian Idol, her family moved to Mumbai. In 2019, Sugandha participated in “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs” and became the winner of the show.
