Suhani Pittie is an Indian jewelry designer. She was the first Indian jewelry designer to be selected to showcase her collection at Miami Fashion Week 2007.

Suhani Pittie was born on Tuesday, April 14, 1981 (age 41 in 2022) to a business family in Kolkata (now Kolkata). She studied at Mahadevi Birla Girls’ High School (now known as Mahadevi Birla World College) in Kolkata. She graduated from the Gemological Institute of America in Carlsbad, USA. In 2004, after her marriage, she went to Hyderabad where she started her career in jewelry design.

Profession

After graduating from the United States in 2000, 19-year-old Suhani Pittie began teaching in a gemstone school. At the age of 20, she started her own training institute, teaching diamond and colored stone grading courses. Her students range in age from 16 to 81 and include some jewelers from Kolkata. After her marriage, Suhani moved to Hyderabad in 2004 where she started her own design company under her name “Suhani Pittie”. In the same year, she launched a silver jewelry collection in collaboration with Bridal Asia and launched her own jewelry brand “Zorya”. In 2008, her work was commissioned by the Museum of Arts and Design in New York City. Her collection “Marshes & Marigold” was shown at WLIFW SS in 2008. Her collection “Children of Eden” was inspired by the innocence of childhood and was showcased at Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort in 2012. Suhani Pittie was commissioned by Swarovski to celebrate its 10th anniversary at the Austrian Embassy in India. Her work was chosen by travel and lifestyle channel TLC to be showcased on its show ‘Oh My Gold’ and she was also selected to co-host a Hyderabad show with celebrity Lisa Ray. During her career, she has worked with many popular brands including Nykaa, Myntra, Jaypore, Taj group and Swarovski. She has also collaborated on several projects with renowned Indian painter Thota Vaikuntam, designers Anamika Khanna and Swarovksi. Her celebrity clients include Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Alia Bhatt, Vidya Balan and Deepika Padukone among others.
