Sundar Pichai

Sundar Pichai is a business executive who served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Google. After joining Google in 2004, Pichai served as the company’s CEO in 2015 and served as CEO of parent company Alphabet Inc.; he succeeded Larry Page and Sergey Brin on December 3, 2019. CEO of Google.

Pichai completed his high school education at Jawahar Vidyalaya, a CBSE school in Chennai, and completed his 12th grade at Vana Vani School, Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai, India. He received his bachelor’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India, and a degree in metallurgical engineering. For higher education, he attended Stanford University in California and completed a master’s degree in materials science and engineering. Pichai earned his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was named a Siebel Scholar (one of the most talented students) and a Palmer Scholar. After graduation, he worked at Applied Materials and in management consulting at McKinsey & Company. Pichai joined Google in 2004 to lead product management; he played an important role in the development of Google’s web browser Chrome and the Android mobile operating system.
