In 1989, he served as the general secretary in the student elections of Rajasthan University. In the 1990s, he became a member of the RSS. From 2010 to 2014, he played a vital role as the National Youth Against Corruption (YAC) convener. Sunil Bansal is the former state union minister of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. Sunil Bansal has been actively involved in the anti-corruption movement and served as the National Youth Against Corruption (YAC) Convenor from 2010 to 2014. The man also writes about national security, the Indian education system, and institutional reforms. His journey in the BJP continued to flourish when he was appointed joint in-charge of Uttar Pradesh during the 2014 Indian general elections. In recognition of his contribution, the Bharatiya Janata Party appointed him as the state general secretary of Uttar Pradesh in 2017. Being given the important responsibility of administering the states of West Bengal, Orissa and Telangana.
