Sunny was born in 1998 (age 21; as of 2019) in Amarpura Basti, Bathinda, Punjab. He has loved singing since he was a child. He received his education under the Bathinda Government. Senior high school. While at school, he actively participated in cultural and annual events. Sunny dropped out of school after completing sixth standard and started performing at various events and functions locally and in nearby villages. After observing his passion for singing, his father gifted him an organ and a tabla.
In 2014, his father passed away due to a long illness. After his father’s death, Sonny took on the responsibility of the family and started working as a shoe shiner.
