Supriya Sule is an Indian politician from the National Communist Party (NCP). She is the daughter of veteran politician Sharad Pawar. Sule was elected to Congress three times.

Supriya Sule was born on Monday, June 30, 1969, in Pune (present-day Pune), Maharashtra (55 years old; as of 2024). Her zodiac sign is Cancer. She attended St. Columb’s School in Pune. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree. in Microbiology from Jai Hind College, Mumbai, Maharashtra. She earned a graduate degree in water pollution from the University of California, Berkeley. After completing college, she stayed in Indonesia and Singapore before returning to Mumbai.

Her father Sharad Pawar is a veteran politician and founder of the National Communist Party (NCP). Her mother’s name is Pratibha Pawar. Her cousin Ajit Pawar is also a famous Indian politician. She was married to Sultananda Sule. They have two children, Revati Sule and Vijay Sule.

Supriya Sule was first elected to the Lok Sabha from Maharashtra in 2006. In 2009, she contested the general election from Baramati Lok Sabha constituency in Maharashtra and won by a margin of 3.36 lacs. On June 10, 2012, during the 12th founding day of the NCP, she launched the ‘Rashtravadi Yuvati Congress’ in Mumbai to provide a platform to young girls to enter politics. She was re-elected to the Lok Sabha from the Baramati Lok Sabha constituency in Maharashtra in 2014 and 2019.

On June 10, 2023, NCP president Sharad Pawar announced Praful Patel and Supriya Sule as the party’s working presidents. She contested the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from the Baramati seat and defeated her sister-in-law Sunetra Pawar (Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar) by more than 1.55 lakh votes.
