Sutton Stracke is doing well after experiencing a medical emergency during filming The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 reunion, which airs its third and final episode this Wednesday.
The reunion trailer released two weeks ago ended with the 52-year-old socialite suffering a medical emergency while on camera.
Stracke began shaking uncontrollably, prompting housemates Garcelle Beauvais and Annemarie Wiley to ask if he was okay. The paramedic was invited to set up as host Andy Cohen remarks, “You’re shaking, you’re shaking. You’re really shaking.”

Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE after the incident, Stracke says her health scare wasn’t triggered by seeing any of her cast mates.
“I started feeling bad in the middle of the reunion and I kept asking Garcelle [Beauvais], ‘Is it hot in here?’ And it was cold in that space. She said, ‘No, it’s not.’ And I kept asking and asking and asking, and she said, ‘It’s not. Are you feeling well?’ And I was becoming kind of quiet and withdrawn,” she says.
Stracke explained that for about three weeks before filming, she was constantly back and forth between New York and Los Angeles, and all the traveling started to take a toll on her body.

“I was burning the familiar candle at both ends and the wick was gone and my body just shut down. It was really scary,” the Bravo reality star told PEOPLE exclusively, calling the experience “really scary.”
She joked in part that the timing of it all was rather inconvenient.

“You think I want that to happen during the reunion? I had more things to say. I wasn’t done yet. There was some fight left in me that just couldn’t… My body collapsed. There was nothing I could do about it. It was wild – she says.
Stracke tells PEOPLE that her blood pressure was “high.”
After what was seen in the brief examination, she was taken to the emergency room, and she said that she could not stop vomiting. The medical staff there checked her vital signs and then made the decision to send her to the emergency room – as long as Beauvais, 57, was by her side.
Stracke said she hates going to the hospital.

“I was in the emergency room for, I don’t know, four hours, and Garcelle stayed the whole time because we are real friends. She is one of my best friends,” he says of his relationship with his costa.
As for what sent her to the hospital, Stracke says doctors were able to get to the root of the problem.

“And after a chest X-ray and blood work, they said, ‘You suffered from exhaustion,’ which sounds silly but is a real thing, ‘and dehydration.’ And to top it all off, two days later I visited my doctor – a bad case of bronchitis. So I couldn’t win. Between those three things, it was a trifecta of sickness, so I had to stay in bed for about 10 days.”
“Still, Stracke’s signature sense of humor remains intact. “My esophagus is fine,” he jokes to PEOPLE when asked about his health, teasing a much-discussed topic among Beverly Hills Housewives this season.
She added that she had been “working like hell” at her new company Sutton Brands for a while and that she had taken some much-needed time off after seeing the doctor.
