Swapnil Suresh Kusale was born on Sunday, August 6, 1995, in Maharashtra, India (28 years old; as of 2023). His zodiac sign is Leo. In 2009, Swapni joined the Krithar Prabhudani School in Pune, Maharashtra, a school specializing in sports. In 2013, Swapnil was acquired by a non-profit organization called Lakshya Sports. Swapnil’s sports career began in 2009 when his father enrolled him in Krida Prabhodini, the Maharashtra government’s premier sports programme. Swapnil has been interested in sports since childhood and his father recognized this and enrolled him in the program. Initially, Swapnil was asked to focus on physical fitness for a year and then it was time to choose a sport. Swapnil chose shooting and was shifted to Nashik to start his shooting training. Talking about coming from a family that didn’t have a lot of money to spend on sports equipment, Swapnil said:
The Krida Prabhodini project helped me a lot, gave me free education, housing, you name it. However, after a while, if you want to take it seriously, you need to spend money. My father took out a loan from the bank so that he could help me get to where I am now. Each bullet cost around 120 rupees at that time so I had to be very careful while shooting as I obviously couldn’t afford that many. I didn’t have a lot of equipment at the time and the setup was a bit limiting. ”
In 2013, Lakshya Sports recognized Swapnil’s talent and sponsored him. Swapnil Kusale trains under the guidance of coach Deepali Deshpande.

In 2015, Swapnil Kusale was named Asian Youth Champion. In 2022, Swapni was ranked second in the world in the men’s 50m rifle event at the International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) World Cup. In October 2022, Swapnil Kusale qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics in shooting. He is the third Indian to qualify for the Paris Olympics and finished fourth in the men’s 50m rifle three-position (3P) event at the ISSF World Championships in Cairo, Egypt.

At the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, Swapnil came close to winning India’s first Asian Games gold medal in the 50m three-position event, but he finished fourth with a score of 7.6. Swapnil missed out on the medal by 0.1 points. However, Swapnil and his teammates Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar and Akhil Sheoran won the gold medal in the 50m rifle team event.
