T. R. Knight Celebrates 10th Wedding Anniversary: ‘Never Dreamed This Could Happen in My Lifetime’

Stewardess The 50-year-old star marked her 10th wedding anniversary with her “extraordinary” husband Patrick Leahy with a touching post she shared on Instagram on Friday.

“Ten years ago yesterday I married this extraordinary man,” Knight wrote in the caption, sharing a photo of herself and Leahy. “I never dreamed that this could happen in my lifetime.”

The actor continued: “We hold in our hearts all those who never had – and never will have – this right.”

In the photo, the couple leaned into each other and embraced as they stood in a dimly lit room by a window.

Knight married Leahy on October 4, 2013, after three years of dating.

The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony attended by family and friends, including Knight’s ex Grey’s Anatomy actresses Katherine Heigl and Kate Walsh, a source confirmed to PEOPLE at the time.

Knight’s last public appearance with Leahy was at the film’s premiere Stewardess — in which he plays Davey Bowden’s older brother Cassie (Kaley Cuoco) — in April 2022 in West Hollywood.

Back in 2020, the actor marked the tenth anniversary of the couple’s meeting by posting cute selfies with Leahy taken on a walk.

“Ten years ago, @bridgeteverett @zshaffer1 and @jasoneagan made it possible to meet this magnificent man. My goal for the next ten? Keep trying to earn it,” Knight sweetly captioned the photo.

In March 2016, Knight shed more light on his off-screen married life as he talked about finally being able to legally marry the love of his life.

“If I were allowed to wear this [wedding band] and for it to be legal, that’s amazing,” Knight told HuffPost. “I am very grateful for that. There are a lot of people who suffered a lot so that I could have my story.”
