To catch the Silver Marlin boss fish in Tales of Arise, players must first obtain the Silver Fang lure, a unique lure used specifically for baiting the marlin. Players can acquire the Silver Fang by catching 40 different fish across the fishing spots in Tales of Arise‘s world. After doing so, they can travel to Talka Pond Road within Menancia. There, players can speak with the Fishing Expert to receive Tales of Arise’s Silver Fang lure.

Players will also need a decent fishing rod to catch the Silver Marlin, preferably one with a high rarity. The Fishing Sniper, earned by catching 20 different fish in Tales of Arise and speaking to the Fishing Expert in Talka Pond Road, is a good choice, and players will have collected it already by the time they have the Silver Fang lure for the Silver Marlin.

Another excellent choice of rod for catching the Silver Marlin boss fish in Tales of Arise is the Alliance Marine Rod, which is a reward for beating the Level 60 Solo Ultimate trial for Kisara. To take on this challenge, players need to visit the Viscint Training Grounds (within the capital of Elde Menancia).

The fishing location of the Silver Marlin boss fish in Tales of Arise is accessed at the Hidden Wharf in Mahag Saar. Players must speak to an NPC named Mahavar and request to the taken to “the fishing spot.” After boarding the boat, players will be taken on a fishing trip out at sea.

While many other fish can also be caught in the ocean, like the marlin in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the Silver Marlin in Tales of Arise can only be found here. Remember, even at this spot players must still use the Silver Fang lure to catch the Silver Marlin boss fish in Tales of Arise.
