The actor considers herself fortunate to have landed the role, calling the experience “amazing.” “It was my first audition, so I believed it usually worked like that, and you always get your first audition,” she said in an interview with Teen Hollywood. Sursok’s portrayal of the character garnered her the Logie Award for Most Popular New Female Talent, beating out Caroline Craig, Madeleine West, and Karina Brown. Sursok’s performance got her a Logie Award nomination for Most Popular Actress, but she lost to McLeod’s Daughters actress Lisa Chappell. She starred as Sarah Corso in Kristina Lloyd’s and Richard H.
