Tammy Slaton Is ‘Seeking Love’ — and Hints at Who It Might Be — in Season Finale of 1000-Lb. Sisters (Exclusive)

Tammy Slaton is reentering the dating scene for the first time since her husband died.

In an exclusive PEOPLE clip from Tuesday’s season finale 1000 lbs. SistersThe 38-year-old is sitting at home having a candid conversation with her brother Chris and his wife Brittany.

“It’s been almost a year since Caleb passed away. I think I’m ready to start looking for someone,” she says.

Chris tells her that the only thing that matters to him is that the person he finds treats her well.

“Lately I feel like it’s time to move on and look for love again, but this time I’m thinking about seeing a woman,” explains Slaton in the confessional. “As things stand now, I don’t want to be with another man. It just doesn’t seem right. I don’t even have those feelings for the guy anymore after Caleb passed away.”

In the video, Slaton was referring to her late husband, Caleb Willingham, whom she met at the Windsor Lane Rehabilitation Center in Gibsonburg, Ohio, while working there on her weight loss journey. The two fell in love and quickly got married in November 2022.

He was the love of her life, Slaton told PEOPLE exclusively at the time. “What’s not to love? He really fit into our family.”

But seven months later, Willingham died at age 40 of unknown causes.

In late July 2023, Slaton was surrounded by her loved ones as she attended a memorial service for Willingham, Ohio. She later told PEOPLE, “He was my best friend and I loved him very much.”

“When I met Caleb, he became my guardian angel and now he really watches over me,” she said.

Earlier this year, Slaton also spoke briefly about her sexuality following Willingham’s death. In January, she posted a video on TikTok responding to a follower who asked if she was transgender after she used Pride flag and transgender flag emojis in her caption.

“No, I’m not trans. I just support everything,” she explained. “I used to say I was pansexual, but I kind of stopped messing with boys after my husband passed away. So I’m like a lesbian.”

“I just showed support,” she said then. “I’m not a hater. Love is love. Everyone deserves love whether they are gay, straight, trans, pan, bi, non-binary, whatever. I’m just a lover.”
