Tanuja Kanwar is an Indian cricketer. She is an all-rounder who played for the Gujarat Giants in the inaugural season of the Women’s Super League.

Tanuja P Kanwar was born on Wednesday, January 28, 1998 in Theog, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh (age 25; as of 2023). She has been interested in sport since she was a child and until 2011 she played gully cricket with local boys. When Tanuja was about 15, her father enrolled her in HCC Academy in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. In an interview, she revealed that her father was instrumental in her career. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Dhab Khatikan Hindu College, Amritsar, Punjab.

In 2011, she joined HCC Academy in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh; later the same year, she was selected for the state U-19 team. In 2012, she was selected to the state senior women’s team for her consistent performance in the U-19 team. Himachal Pradesh women’s team advanced from the plate group after defeating Uttar Pradesh women’s team in the final. She became the leading wicket-taker with 17 wickets in four games, including four wickets against Karnataka Women in the semi-finals and one against Uttar Pradesh Women in the final. Three wickets. In 2018, she was selected in the Indian Women’s Red Team to compete for the Women’s Senior T20 Challenger Trophy 2018-2019. Tanuja Kanwar was part of India A team led by Deepti Sharma; they lost to India Blue team in the final. She took five wickets in three games. In 2019, she reached the 2019-2020 Women’s Senior T20 Challenger Cup final with the India B team led by Smriti Mandhana. On 18 February 2019, she scored 11 runs and took two wickets during the Women’s President’s India tour of India against the England women’s team. In October 2019, she was selected for the Indian Women’s Emerging Team and won the first Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Emerging Team Asian Cup held in Sri Lanka. On October 29, 2019, the Indian Women’s Emerging Team defeated the Sri Lanka Women’s Emerging Team by 14 runs in the final; Tanuja Kanwar took four wickets in the final.
She ended the tournament with seven wickets, including three against Sri Lanka Women’s Emerging Team, and was the second-highest wicket-taker in the tournament after Devika Vidya (Devika Vaidya).

In 2019, she was selected for the India A women’s tour of Australia. She took 4 wickets in three ODIs and was named in the eleven for the first T20 match. In 2020, she was selected for the Indian Women’s Football Team B to participate in the T20 Four Corners Series held in India.
