Chakravarthy Chandrachud was born on Tuesday, August 15, 1978 (42 years old in 2020) in Devanur, Chikmagalur district, Karnataka. His star sign is Leo. He studied for his bachelor’s degree in instrumentation technology from Sri Jayachamarajendra Engineering College, Mysore, Karnataka. Later, he did his master’s degree in psychology from the University of Mysore.

Previously, he was married to Manjula and has a daughter, Chukki. In 2013, he married South Indian actress and politician Shruthi in Kollur, Udupi. Shruthi is famous for winning the TV reality show Big Boss Kannada 3. At that time, she was divorced from her first husband S. Mahendar and has a daughter, Gowri. In an interview, Chandrachud talked about marrying Shruthi and said,
I have known Shruthi for more than 25 years. We are from the same village in Hassan, both are Vishwakarma people, and our mothers are related. But it is not these similarities that bring us together. We are soul mates. ”

Less than a year later, problems arose between the two. Chandrachud’s first wife Manjula revealed in the media that Chandrachud did not divorce her but married Shruthi. Considering the whole thing, even Shruthi decided to support Manjula. Later, in the court, Chandrachud’s second marriage was declared invalid and Shruthi separated from Chandrachud.

As a social activist
Since his college days, he had developed a keen interest in the social work of Indian water conservationist and environmentalist Rajendra Singh. He subsequently studied the history of the work of social activists Rajendra Singh and Anna Hazare. Thereafter, he followed in the footsteps of Rajendra Singh and contributed to water conservation. Later, he published his first book, Jala Jana Kranti, in Kannada to promote water conservation in Karnataka. His book was well received and was well received by the readers. In 2014, he published his second book, Khali Shilube (The Empty Cross), which was followed by two more collections of poetry, Mailu Tutta and Saava Kolluvavarige Shikshe Illa. In 2017, he released a documentary, Mahamarana, which was based on the Kalasa Banduri issue (the dispute over the water allocation of the Mandovi River). He also organized many social events through his organization Darvesh Chauki.

He was accused of spying on his second wife Shruthi after they separated in 2014. In an interview with reporters, Shruthi said:
The problem started when I found out that my housemaid Shobha was spying on me for Chandrachud. Chandrachud had hired her while I was busy with the elections. After returning from the campaign, I found out that Shobha had reported everything that happened in my house to Chandrachud. I should have complained against her immediately but she begged me not to, but I fired her anyway.”
Talking further about Chakravarthy Chandrachud, she said,
Soon, Chandrachud rented a house, just opposite my house, and started harassing me and my daughter. He would come home drunk every night and ask me to open the door; he threatened to shout and make a scene if I didn’t talk to him. He would even follow my daughter to the school bus stop and harass her. Living in our own house was difficult for us because Chandrachud was always following our every move. He and his journalist friend would chat and smoke in front of my house until after midnight. He would often say, “I will definitely write a bad word about you,” but I ignored him because I felt he was not serious. A month and a half after I fired the maid, I learned that she had filed a complaint against me, claiming that I had beaten her and locked her daughter in the room. ”
