REAL Housewives of Cheshire star Tanya Bardsley has come under fire from fans after she shared a video of herself teaching her “potty-mouthed” son to stop swearing.
The 42-year-old posted a video of her husband, ex-footballer Phil, pinning their seven-year-old son and pretending to put shampoo in his mouth.

Tanya told her followers: “I’m going back to the old school treatment because nothing else has worked for our little little mouth Ralphi doodle @phil_bardsley #washyourmouthoutwithsoap told his brother to fuck off.”
In the video, Ralphi is seen rolling on the floor laughing as Burnley player Phil sits on top of him and someone places a bottle of Pantene close to his mouth.
Both Tanya and Phil can be heard laughing, with Tanya saying, “You’re not going to swear anymore.”
The video sparked hundreds of comments from concerned followers, with one person writing: “Am I the only one who finds it disturbing and offensive to see a grown man put a child on the hard floor and pour chemicals into his mouth no matter how much he swears! !!”

Another person said: “Everyone who literally admits to putting chemicals in children’s mouths like it’s normal and not abuse… it’s really sad when they pick it up.
“Adults who know better than kids copying …just my opinion before someone comes to get me. Now I have 3 kids and 2 adults and I never put anything in them that would harm them.”
And a third commented: “It’s not funny to post a video joking about child abuse (because the people who actually do it are the abusers) and then call the people who thought you were doing it names etc. Look at the people who spoke up really do it / did it.
“I can’t believe I saw this and your responses justifying it 😢 you just don’t expect this from someone who *seems* to be far along the path of personal development, life coaching and spiritual etc.”
Tanya defended her decision to film the clip and insisted: “No child was harmed in the making of this video for crooked Karen in the comments no shampoo was put in his mouth and Ralphi just laughed ffs honestly the world is so serious and thrives on being offended and to judge these days.”
Others were quick to support her, with one fan commenting: “I know she wouldn’t hurt her kids. I actually laughed when he said come on.”
Someone else wrote: “Aren’t we watching the same video? Seriously snowflakes here!
“The boy laughs, it’s obviously a family party. Instead of judging others here, maybe go spend some quality time with yours.”
“Oh my god people (groaning) it’s a bit of fun you can hear Ralfi laughing if it was serious he’d scream I remember my parents saying I’d wash my mouth out with soap,” another fan added.
Tanya and husband Phil are the parents of Gabrielle, Rocco, Ralfi and Renzo.
Tanya is best known for starring on The Real Housewives of Cheshire for six years before quitting in 2021.
She went on to make a documentary about living with ADHD after being diagnosed.
