Taraji P. Henson exuded confidence at TIME’s Women of the Year Gala.
On Tuesday, the 53-year-old actress arrived at the event in a sheer Donna Karen dress with sequins and floral embellishments near the plunging neckline.
The sexy ensemble featured a quilted design that Henson wore with long silver Jacob and Co. earrings. and an elegant updo in combination with glossy pink lips and brown eye shadow. A huge diamond ring, which Henson showed off on her Instagram, completed the attention-grabbing look.
The Empire alum was there to celebrate her TIME Women of the Year cover, which she shared on Instagram she was “honored.”

Henson was recognized by the house for speaking out about the pay gap in Hollywood.
“I’m in a film about women who don’t have a voice and are trying to find one,” she said Time, refers to Purple, which was co-produced by Oprah Winfrey. “So who will stand up for them?”

Since awards season kicked off in January, Henson has been commanding the red carpet in a series of glamorous looks.
She chose a deep green dress for the International Film Festival Awards Gala on January 4, followed by a custom crimson Versace dress with a thigh-high slit and a plunging neckline at the Emmys on January 15.
She recently channeled her “black girl magic” at the SAG Awards in a strapless black Giambattista Valli Couture gown with a plunging neckline and dramatic train. She accessorized with a sparkling Bulgari Serpenti necklace and Betsey Johnson heels.

Ago Purple in theaters, the stars of the movie musical — Fantasia Barrino, Danielle Brooks, Ciara and Halle Bailey — celebrated in style at the premiere. Henson stood out in a sculptural black and white design by Vlora Mustafa.
