Tarun Chugh is an Indian politician and national general secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is the National Convener of Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao (Government of India Movement).

Tarun Chugh was born on Thursday, May 3, 1973, in Amritsar, Punjab (50 years; as of 2023). His zodiac sign is Taurus. He holds a bachelor’s degree from DAV College, Amritsar. He graduated with an MBA in Human Resources (Master of Business Administration in Human Resources) from Mahatma Gandhi University, Meghalaya in December 2013. However, according to some sources, he received his MBA degree from DAV College, Amritsar. First, he worked in a railway booking agency in Jalandhar, Punjab. He is also a partner in Shree Mahalaxmi Enterprises Business of Medicine Agency. He later became a partner in “Shree Enterprises, a service business.” He started his political career at a very young age in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He has also served as Ghat Nayak, Mukhay Shikshak and Karyavah in Vidyarthi Shiksha Academy.

Tarun Chugh has had a diverse and influential career in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). From 1989, he served as district secretary and state executive member of ABVP. In 1993, he was elected president of the Amritsar district Bharatiya Janata Party (BJYM). In 1994, he served as the Punjab District Chairman of BJYM. Within two years, he was promoted to the BJYM Punjab general secretary and national executive member, playing an important role in the party. In 1999, he led the Yuva Chetna Yatra, a visionary project to create awareness among the youth about the work of the party, covering 2100 km from all district headquarters in Punjab and demonstrated his event management capabilities and knowledge sharing skills . From 1995 to 2009, Tarun held various positions in the BJP, including general secretary of the Punjab Youth League, national executive member of the Yuva Morcha and divisional vice-president of the Punjab Youth Development Council. In 2013, his outstanding personal and organizational mobilization skills made him the general secretary of the Punjab PPP and in charge of Doba district and the youth wing of the PPP. In the 2012 and 2017 Punjab Legislative Assembly elections, Tarun Chugh (BJP) emerged as runner-up in the Amritsar Central constituency, with Om Parkash Soni from the Indian National Congress winning in both elections. Tarun was appointed as the national general secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2021. He spoke at numerous booth staff meetings, election meetings and public rallies throughout the day. He also served as the In-Charge of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Joint Chief of the Delhi State Bharatiya Janata Party, where he oversaw the functioning of rallies and public meetings. Tarun Chugh has been reappointed as the national general secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the 2024 general elections.
