Taylor Frankie Paul shared a cryptic message on TikTok about the “pain” of going from “chaos to pure silence” at Christmas after seemingly spending the holidays apart from her partner, Dakota Mortensen.
The mum-of-three, 30, took to TikTok on December 25 and said she “wouldn’t wish this pain on anyone”.

“If you’re there, ride, scream, cry [and] feel the pain,” she continued. “Because I promise avoiding it will make it much worse.”
Mortensen also posted several TikTok videos on his account suggesting he spent Christmas without Paul after “wrapping presents alone” for their son, Ever True, and opening presents separately with him.
She also found additional support in the comments of other fans, including MomTok members like Mayci Neeley and Jessi Ngatikaura, who sent their love to her in the comments. Another commenter wrote that Mortensen’s “TikTok led me” to the video, to which she replied that she was “happy to spend my day with him.”
Paul posted her cryptic TikTok message after posting another video of her dancing with her three children in the same Christmas pajamas. The caption “convenience no longer travels with the in-laws” was written over the video, seemingly in reference to Paula’s ex-husband, Tate Paul.

At the end The Secret Lives of Mormon Women, both Paul and Mortensen faced challenges in their relationship and the first season ended on shaky terms between the two. Ngatikaura addressed the break-up rumors that have been swirling around the couple on Scheananigans podcast with Scheana Shay and revealed that their relationship is “struggling a little bit right now.”

“I think they’re both amazing people,” Ngatikaura added. “I just think that maybe there’s so much trauma between the two of them because of their past and their relationship that they need some time to breathe.”
Paul later announced on her Instagram stories in October that she and Mortensen were able to resolve and reconcile their relationship, and he subsequently appeared in one of her TikTok posts on November 11. However, Mortensen was careful to leave out details about his relationship with Paul in a video about his life he posted in early December, in which he talked about becoming a dad for the first time and getting into real estate.
“[I’ve] just trying to stay more positive in my life, rebuilding my relationship with God because I feel like I’ve lost that a little bit,” he continued at the time. “It’s really helping me.”
