Taylor Lautner and Wife Tay Share Their Plans for Their First Wedding Anniversary 

Taylor Lautner and Taylor Dome Lautner celebrate one year of marriage!

Ahead of their first anniversary on November 11, the couple shared a CBS Morning is the co-host of their plans for the upcoming anniversary.

“We are excited because [it’s] is coming,” said the Twilight alum. “We talked about what we wanted to do about it. And it seemed right and perfect that on our anniversary we hold our first gala fundraiser for the Lemons Foundation.”

“Oh, that’s beautiful,” co-host Nate Burleson replied.

The Lemons Foundation is a non-profit organization focused on “encouraging and advocating for those struggling with their mental health, as well as providing accessible resources and support,” according to the organization’s official website.

The couple explained at the beginning of their CBS Morning an interview with their podcast, Gripis a subsidiary of the company to help inform listeners about mental health.

Dome Launter, who used to work as a nurse, told how the Lemons Foundation started and how it started Grip, which fell in January.

“I ended up leaving the hospital for psychological reasons. Just as you can imagine, working through COVID was a bit much. But I still wanted to find a way to give back and share what I was going through because so many people were struggling,” she explained.

“So I started this mental health blog called ‘Lemons by Tay’ and then that turned into a non-profit called the Lemons Foundation, and then came the podcast,” she continued. “We wanted to still play with the lemon a little bit and we said, ‘Squeeze is good,’ or go to the heart of our mental health.”

Gayle King asked about the couple’s unusual situation of sharing the same first and now last name.

“How funny is it that you both had the same name? We talked about it,” King said. “It’s a bit difficult to have a unisex name.”

Dome Lautner confirmed and shared how the couple came to understand their shared name. “My name is not Taylor,” she said. “I feel like it’s less weird for us than it was for all our friends and family.”

The couple tied the knot in a California vineyard in front of 100 loved ones last November. “Taylor and I were good from the start,” the actor told PEOPLE. “I feel so happy. I married my best friend.”

Ahead of their 2022 wedding, the couple first went public with their relationship on Halloween 2018. Lautner told PEOPLE that his sister introduced him to Dome. “She called me and said, ‘Dude, I found your future wife. You have to meet this girl.’ And the rest is history.”
