Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Spotted with Patrick and Brittany Mahomes at Holiday Party by Kansas City Locals

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are getting into the holiday spirit.

Locals spotted the pair Friday night at Miracle, a holiday pop-up bar in Kansas City, where the Chiefs were hosting a party.

Word circulated online that Swift, 33, was in attendance at the team reunion, which looked like a costume party as many of the couples wore matching outfits. In one photo, Swift was pictured chatting with quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, whose back was turned to the camera.

The Mahomeses wore matching reindeer jumpsuits to the party, as Brittany, 28, shared in an Instagram post on Saturday with the caption, “Falalalalalalalalala🎄.”

Chiefs tight end Blake Bell and wife Lyndsay also looked alike in another photo Brittany shared, indicating that many of the players and their partners wore matching outfits.

An onlooker told PEOPLE that Swift’s holiday song “Christmas Tree Farm” played at the party — which took place in a semi-private back room of the venue — and confirmed that the singer was in attendance with her girlfriend Kelce, 34.

“Everyone looked happy and cheerful,” and the party had “great energy,” said an onlooker.

Swift wore a black sweatpants to the party, according to onlookers. As the photos circulated online, one Chiefs fan on Xu (formerly Twitter) claimed the pair were wearing matching holiday sweaters, in keeping with the theme of the party, which featured a squirrel — a comedic reference to one of Kelce’s now-viral old tweets in which spelled the word wrong.

The pop-up bar also reposted a series of photos on Facebook in which a customer claimed Swift was at the bar on Friday night at the same time as her. “I hung out with Taylor Swift here last night and by hang out I mean she was there and so were we,” the post’s caption read.

Swift and Kelce’s seasonal outing on Friday night comes after the Grammy winner appeared at the London premiere of Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour concert film on Wednesday alongside her close friend Blake Lively.

Kelce, on the other hand, had a big week himself as he became the fastest tight end in NFL history to reach 11,000 receiving yards. Swift acknowledged the feat by liking the Chiefs’ Instagram post commemorating the achievement.

In Wednesday’s episode of the show New heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast, Travis then thanked “Tay,” as he called her, for the love.

“Maybe you don’t care about records, but you know who they are, a 92 percent player named Taylor Swift. That’s right. She liked the Chiefs Instagram post about how you broke this record,” Jason, 35, told his brother in the episode.

“Okay now. Thanks, Tay,” Travis replied, and Jason added, “I like the support.”

While things are heating up between the couple, a source told PEOPLE that Travis’ friends think the relationship is “a real deal.”

“They’re still a bit shocked about it all — that he’s coming out the Taylor Swift, but they saw how down to earth she is with his friends and family,” said an insider close to the athlete.

The source noted that what makes things work between them is their shared dedication to the craft.

“They’re both really hard workers, and he recognizes that her art is hers and he has what’s his,” the source said. “He understands the territory that comes with their relationship and as he said, he doesn’t let any of the hype get in the way of their development together.”

“Their relationship is about the two of them, and he sees Taylor for who she is and vice versa.”
