Christopher Mintz-Plasse may be known by his nickname McLovin’, but he’s not a gamer – there’s only one lady in his life, his fiancee, Britt Bowman.
While Super bad the actor continues to star in TV shows and films, he’s also showcased his musical skills over the past few years, joining bands such as Benkweller and playing festivals where Bowman catches him in his element.
Born in Iowa, Bowman is a professional concert photographer who has toured the world with various bands and covered festivals, capturing bands and artists such as Tinashe, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Miguel and more.
The creative couple have been working together for six years and have been engaged since December 2022.
Mintz-Plasse called his fiancée “literally the kindest person I’ve ever met,” and she in turn called him her “favorite person.”

Mintz-Plasse and Bowman live in sunny Los Angeles, but she hails from Sioux City, Iowa.
In July 2023, Bowman visited her hometown while on tour with Danish rock band Volbeat, when they played at the Hard Rock Casino.
“My first post on this tour had to be my hometown show we did in Sioux City, such a great day,” she wrote alongside a carousel of performance photos on Instagram.
“I got to see my whole family, my dad went surfing and my boss gave me a nice little hello 🥲❤️,” she added.
They got engaged in December 2022

A few years after officiating the wedding of his friend, musician Matthew Koma and actress Hilary Duff, Mintz-Plasse popped the question to Bowman on Christmas Eve 2022.
“Life is over!!!❤️❤️❤️,” he jokingly captioned a set of photos on Instagram showing off his new fiancée and her new ring.
“@mintzplasse did something 💍12/24/22 ❤️❤️❤️🎉,” Bowman wrote in her own post.
The couple previously celebrated their 4th wedding anniversary in June 2021, and Bowman shared a carousel of photos of them at Fenway Park, relaxing on beach chairs, at a casino, and in nature.
“4 rotations around the sun with @mintzplasse ❤️,” she wrote.
She is the assistant of the Danish band Volbeat

Bowman got her start in the music industry booking local gigs in the Midwest as a teenager.
A local band invited her to tour with them as their sales manager, and she worked as a tour manager and sales manager until 2015, when she was asked to do tour photography and social media for Volbeat, she recalled 2019 podcast interview Podcast How to become a Rockstar photographer with Matthias Hombauer.
“I was definitely one of those people who was like, give me more, I want to learn everything,” said Bowman, speaking of her desire to take on a variety of roles on the tour, including photographer, driver and sales manager.
“I sort out their wardrobe, I deal with all their press that arrives on tour every day… I’m kind of the middle man,” she said of her role as an assistant to Volbeat.

Bowman is a professional concert and tour photographer, traveling with bands to capture performance photos. Her work often takes her around the world, with numerous tours in Europe.
She toured with bands such as Disturbed and Volbeat, who opened for Metallica. She also toured with Benkweller, with whom Mintz-Plasse plays.
When he’s on the road with other bands, Mintz-Plasse is missed.
“Please don’t tour anymore because I’m a mess without you,” he wrote in a birthday post for Bowman in 2018.
She attributed the daily calls to Mintz-Plasse while on tour to ground strength in a 2019 podcast interview.
She also takes photos at music festivals, where she has photographed Miguel, Phantogram, Phoenix and others.
In December 2022, Bowman announced that she had been nominated for a Women In Live Music Award for Best Concert Photographer. “I’m feeling really grateful right now,” she wrote in the post.
Later that month, the organization announced that she had won the award.
“This week I won an award for my concert photography. It was a fun week. 🎉🥳,” Bowman wrote on Instagram the next day.
In a 2019 podcast interview, Bowman stated that she would love the opportunity to record more women in music in the future.
“I’d love to photograph Lizzo, maybe Beyoncé… that could be fun,” she said.
She called Mintz-Plasse her “adventure partner”

Wishing her fiance a happy birthday in June 2023, Bowman called him her “adventure partner forever”, posting photos of them kissing in front of the Swiss Alps.
In addition to their vacation in Switzerland, the couple also had an adventure in Sóller, a town in Mallorca, Spain.
Bowman shared photos and videos of herself and Mintz-Plassa riding the Sóller tram, swimming in the Balearic Sea and watching picturesque sunsets.
In a separate set of photos, she shared more memories from their trip to Spain, including a snorkelling trip and a “fire dance with demons for the Feast of St Bartholomew”.
In 2019, the couple vacationed in Italy, visiting Vico Equense and Venice.
“Adventure 1 complete. @mintzplasse,” Bowman wrote on Instagram, sharing photos of them in the pool. She followed it up with another collection of photos in Venice, in which the couple was in a canoe in a canal.

Mintz-Plasse and Bowman are the parents of two puppies together: Crosby and Potato.
Mintz-Plasse took to Instagram to celebrate Crosby’s birthday several times, and he wished him a happy 9th birthday in October 2021.
“You’re even squeakier now, but still my boy,” he wrote alongside a photo of himself holding his dog.
In November 2020, Bowman shared a cute cartoon of herself and Potato alongside the inspiration for the photos.
“@mintzplasse turned us into cartoons ❤️,” she wrote.
